    Quick intake, caring professional staff

I placed my loved one at Bridgeport Place and was relieved by the quick, same-day intake - Diba and the team made a stressful move smooth and supportive. The apartment and memory-care areas are bright, spacious, and well appointed, with lovely common rooms, a secure garden, therapy spaces and varied activities. Staff are consistently kind, professional and responsive, with clear communication that gave me real peace of mind. Overall I'm very pleased and would recommend this caring, welcoming community.

    Summary of reviews

Bridgeport Place presents as a well-equipped assisted living community with numerous strengths centered on resident quality of life. Families and visitors consistently describe clean, roomy private apartments and a variety of attractive common spaces — large dining areas, a library with recreational amenities, media and game rooms, salon services, and secure outdoor areas such as a garden and gazebo. The property offers apartment-like units with kitchenettes, therapy and exercise rooms, and features that support mobility and independence for residents who use walkers or wheelchairs.

The staff and care environment are frequent highlights. Reviewers praise attentive nursing and clinical personnel, welcoming front-desk and tour staff, and named front-line employees who eased transitions. Leadership and on-site management receive positive mention for responsiveness and open communication in many accounts. The community runs an active program of social, cognitive, and recreational activities — music, games, craft programs, holiday events, outings, and weekly programming — that families report as engaging and varied. Transportation to medical appointments and accompaniment services are available for residents who need them.

Dining and personal services are generally regarded as strengths, with an appealing menu, a pleasant dining room environment, and available salon services. At the same time, there are mixed impressions about meal execution: some families note small portions, limited choices, or inconsistency in preparation. The facility provides three meals daily and offers an accessible, social dining experience for many residents, but flexibility around specialized meal modifications and re-admission after hospitalization has been identified as an operational limitation.

Several operational patterns recur across reviews and should be considered by prospective residents and families. Staffing consistency and experience appear variable; reviewers describe turnover and occasional inexperience that can affect day-to-day continuity of care. Nighttime supervision and clinical coverage are specifically called out as a gap in some accounts. Billing and fee practices are another common concern: minimum charge periods, one-time community fees, post-move or post-departure charges, and delays in refunds have led to disputes and frustration for some families. The physical plant is generally clean and well cared for, but parts of the building show age and would benefit from cosmetic updates; parking and proximity to a busy street are practical considerations for visitors.

Memory-care capability is a mixed picture. There is praise for a light-filled, well-designed memory-care unit with programming and safety features, but also statements indicating the community may not accept or be appropriate for certain dementia diagnoses or higher-acuity memory needs. Prospective residents with complex cognitive-care requirements should confirm clinical scope and admission criteria in advance.

In summary, Bridgeport Place offers a broadly positive assisted living environment with notable assets in cleanliness, amenities, activity programming, and many compassionate staff. Prospective residents should weigh those strengths against operational considerations such as staffing consistency, nighttime coverage, dining-accommodation flexibility, and billing transparency. A focused tour and detailed conversations with management about staffing patterns, meal accommodations, memory-care suitability, and fee policies are advisable before making a placement decision.

    About Bridgeport Place Assisted Living

Bridgeport Place Assisted Living is a cozy senior living community where residents can choose from private apartments like studios, studio-alcoves, one-bedroom, or two-bedroom layouts, all with their own bathrooms, air conditioning, kitchenettes, cable TV, telephones, and high-speed internet, so folks have their comforts and can bring their pets along too. The staff keeps everything clean, offers help with things like bathing, dressing, and taking medicine, and there's round-the-clock supervision with nursing available for part of the day, plus an emergency call system for safety, which is real important, especially for peace of mind, and there's trained staff on hand to help out when needed. Residents get meals made by a professional chef in a restaurant-style dining room, and there's care for special diets, like for people with diabetes or allergies. There are community-sponsored activities, games, arts, music, a library, movie theater, and even a fitness room, along with outdoor paths for walking and places to sit in the fresh air, so there's usually something going on both inside and outside the buildings to keep folks active and social. Move-in help, housekeeping, laundry, dry cleaning, transportation, and parking are all available, plus there's a front desk open every day for assistance and tours. Bridgeport Place offers assisted living, memory care with special alert systems and trained staff for people with dementia, independent living options, and even home care and respite services, so people can find the kind of support they need at each step of aging, from staying mostly on their own to getting more hands-on care. There are no smoking policies throughout, including in private rooms, and beautician and devotional services are available both onsite and offsite, with activities to fit many interests. The community keeps a friendly, welcoming feeling, and the Executive Director, Amber Olomon, oversees things to make sure residents' needs are met, while the staff works to create a healthy and comfortable environment for everyone, making use of modern design and a clean, safe setting close to city life, yet still quiet and peaceful. For people who need Medicaid beds, there are some available, and the facility is handicap accessible so no one gets left out. Residents can take part in a vibrant, structured schedule of social, learning, and entertainment activities, and the goal is to offer a supportive and respectful place to live, whether choosing independent living, assisted living, memory care, or even hospice care.
