Anita's Comfort Care Home LLC is an Adult Family Home that provides long-term home care and respite care, operating in private residential houses with a bed capacity of 10 or less and it runs 24/7, always open. It can admit a bedridden resident in an EWC lift shared bedroom or in a private room, and two rooms are equipped with EWC lift beds (Hoyer lift).
The home specializes in mental health and offers hospice services, with acceptance of Medicaid, private pay, private insurance, and VA benefits. It provides short-term care, respite care, and long-term care, and is opening an adjacent adult daycare/adult family home and respite care family next door in April 2025. It is an Adult Family Home, also listed as a provider service called Adult Care Home, and it offers suite assisted living. Residents may keep their own doctors, and the setting supports coordinated medical appointments, transportation, and communication with medical professionals.
The house features a backyard filled with flowers, a large deck with a seating area, double bedrooms, and a community table for meals and activities. The spacious kitchen has stainless steel appliances, vaulted ceilings, and ample natural light, and the home provides a dining program with rotating seasonal menus that include diabetic, heart-healthy, and low-sodium options. It also has a patio, a library with magazines, air conditioning, private telephones, Xfinity cable with DVR/On Demand, and high-speed guest WiFi. There is a security alarm and an emergency call system, plus private or shared rooms and bed availability. A Vibrant Life Coordinator is onsite, and the home offers on-site hair services and manicure, as well as an activity program with bingo, games, music, painting, gardening, and more, with care provided by a dedicated team of highly trained caregivers.
Care tasks include personal care, housekeeping, activities, and group meals, with medication management, reminders, administration, and monitoring provided by trained staff. Home health visits come from nurses, a medical social worker (MSW), therapists, and a dietitian, and therapy services are offered in-home, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy, along with MD care and on-site podiatry care. Oxygen therapy and tube feeding are available, and the home cares for stroke/CVA patients, with blood glucose monitoring and INR checks as part of care. The residence supports palliative care, hospice, and end-of-life care, including last weeks of life care, with round-the-clock care and a live-in provider.
The setting uses computer charting with family DPOA access and electronic medical records (Synkwise). It practices pet visits allowed, but pets do not live at the facility, and it maintains a pet-friendly policy with guidelines on size, type, number of pets, and health and vaccination requirements. It emphasizes a home-like environment where residents know every staff member and feel heard, built on respect, dignity, and genuine care, with social programs that promote connection and a sense of home.
