    About Valley View

Valley View, managed by Brotoloc Health Care Systems Inc., sits on 15 acres west of Eau Claire and has both a community-based residential facility (CBRF) called Valley View and a skilled nursing facility called Colfax Health and Rehabilitation Center, offering several levels of care in a small, close-knit setting. The Valley View CBRF is a two-story farmhouse community with room for up to eight residents, made up of five bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large front deck, a family-style dining area, a kitchen, and comfortable living room spaces. People living here get care that matches their needs, including support for those with mental illness or emotional disabilities, Alzheimer's, and memory loss, as Valley View has a certified small Memory Care Facility that serves up to six residents in a secured, protected environment.

Staff are present around the clock, including awake overnight staff, ensuring residents get help with daily activities like bathing, dressing, medication management, and continence care, and they offer help into and out of the shower or restroom, with grooming, and with laundry. There's also a registered dietitian who plans meals, making sure dietary needs like diabetes or high blood pressure are managed, and three homemade dishes are served every day. Residents can choose between private rooms, shared apartments, studio units, and semi-private spaces, and there's support for people needing higher supervision, insulin shots, or assistance from two caregivers, plus regular occupational therapy, falls management, and incontinence help.

There's a warm, family-like feeling, supported by small group living and regular planned activities like arts and crafts, workout and music programs, movie nights, and animal therapy, as well as access to a community kitchen, chef-prepared meals, and shared spaces like the greenhouse, café, reading room, lounges, fitness area, spa, beauty salon, garden, and other relaxing spots. Valley View supports people with transportation for shopping, medical visits, and faith-based events, and they provide home health services, home care, adult day care, and respite care options for short-term stays, as well as hospice care for those who need it.

The community is pet-friendly and has safety features, awake overnight staffing, a 24-hour emergency response system, and high to moderate supervision levels with continuous nursing support in some areas. Special programs for employment, social skills, and education help residents stay active and connected, and there's parking, basic housekeeping, and a mobile stylist for convenience. Overall, Valley View offers a calm, supportive place to live with several different care options, all under the same roof, in a rural and peaceful setting close to Eau Claire.
