    Friendly caring staff, clean facility

I visited and was very pleased - the staff are consistently friendly, caring and professional, CNAs are attentive, and medication and daily care are dependable. The building is clean and fresh with pleasant visiting areas and outdoor seating, good meals and engaging activities, and administrators/staff work well together. Overall a very good option for senior care; special thanks to Erika Maceman and Dee for their excellent support.

    Summary of reviews

Reviewer feedback for Lincoln Park Nursing and Rehab is mixed, with a clear polarization between positive first‑hand experiences and accounts identifying operational weaknesses. Many families and residents praise the people who provide direct care — nurses, aides, and CNAs are frequently described as compassionate, attentive, and team‑oriented. Several reviewers highlighted clean, pleasant common areas, accessible outdoor seating and visiting spaces, and a smooth admissions/check‑in experience. The facility also receives positive comments about meal quality (including pureed options), transportation assistance, and a range of social programming such as musical events, card games, church services, and holiday activities.

Care quality appears variable across cases. Positive accounts characterize medication administration as reliable and staff as knowledgeable and respectful; these reviews often note good grooming, dressing assistance, and timely coordination of transportation. At the same time, a subset of reviewers identified clinically significant concerns: missed or delayed medication doses, IV/tubing issues, pharmacy delays, and delayed clinical responses that in some instances led to emergency department visits. These accounts suggest gaps in continuity of clinical oversight and emergency responsiveness that prospective families should clarify directly with facility leadership.

Staffing and communication are central themes. Praises for compassionate, helpful staff coexist with reports of inconsistent staffing levels, long call‑light response times, and variable communication tone. Some reviewers described staff as loud or inconsiderate; others singled out individual staff members for exceptional care. Administrative organization and family communication are inconsistent in reviewers' experiences — some families found administrators responsive and engaged, while others reported limited answers to concerns and poor coordination with physicians and outside clinicians.

Dining and activities likewise show divergence. Multiple reviewers complimented food quality and the effort of food‑service staff, while others noted meals served late or at inappropriate temperatures. Activity programming is available and includes recurring offerings, but reviewers expressed a desire for more consistent or expanded therapy and recreational options in some units. Laundry practices and personal‑item tracking were identified as operational pain points — including delayed laundry turnaround and missing clothing — indicating a need for stronger inventory and linen workflows.

Facility infrastructure and cleanliness receive generally favorable comments for common areas and recent improvements, yet several reviews referenced uneven cleanliness and sanitation concerns in specific units or rooms. Room size and accessibility were described as limiting in places — some rooms are small and present challenges for wheelchair maneuvering or exit. These physical constraints, combined with variable staffing, can affect daily comfort and safety.

Overall pattern: experiences range from highly positive, with families expressing strong gratitude for individual staff members and meaningful improvements in appearance and operations, to serious operational and clinical concerns that merit direct inquiry. Prospective residents and families should verify current staffing ratios, average call‑light response times, medication administration protocols and pharmacy arrangements, therapy availability, laundry handling procedures, and how the facility addresses family communication and clinical incidents. Doing so will help reconcile the disparate experiences reflected in these reviews and clarify whether Lincoln Park Nursing and Rehab is an appropriate match for a given resident's needs.
