    Bright clean welcoming compassionate staff

I had a brief stay and was very pleased. The facility is bright, clean, and welcoming in a peaceful country setting, with great food, lots of activities and thoughtful admission touches. The nursing and support staff - led strongly by Aria and with Cassie outstanding - were attentive, compassionate and went above and beyond with timely meds and call-light responses; I highly recommend this place as a very good choice.

    Summary of reviews

Reviewer accounts are polarized: many describe attentive, compassionate care and effective rehabilitation services, while others describe persistent operational concerns. Positive comments emphasize individual caregivers who go above and beyond, prompt nightโ€‘time responsiveness, timely callโ€‘light response, and a welcoming, quiet environment with an active activities program. Several reviewers highlighted strong therapy outcomes, courteous kitchen and nursing staff, and visible management efforts to improve the campus.

Care quality shows a mixed pattern. Strengths include dedicated nursing attention for some residents, coordinated medication administration at bedtime, and successful shortโ€‘term rehabilitation experiences. At the same time, reviewers described gaps in routine clinical monitoringโ€”including inconsistent vitalโ€‘sign documentationโ€”and concerns about medication followโ€‘up and clinical management. These clinical-monitoring and medicationโ€‘management inconsistencies raise questions about reliability of care processes for residents with higher medical needs.

Staffing and staff conduct are recurring themes. Positive remarks point to longโ€‘tenured staff and named caregivers who earned high praise. Conversely, other accounts describe inconsistent staffing levels, delays in toileting and dressing assistance, and instances of unprofessional conduct or inappropriate conversations while on duty. These patterns suggest uneven staff training, supervision, and shift coverage that affect resident experience and family communication.

Dining and activities receive mixed evaluations. Several families noted highโ€‘quality, accommodating meals, while others described limited menu options, overly salty dishes, and unsatisfactory meal experiences. Activity programming and small admission amenities were noted favorably, contributing to a more homeโ€‘like environment for some residents.

Facility environment and maintenance show variability. Positive impressions include clean, wellโ€‘kept interior spaces and a nonโ€‘clinical atmosphere in parts of the facility. However, other observations point to sanitation and odor concerns in some areas, visible maintenance lapses on exterior grounds, pestโ€‘control observations, and cluttered hallways or limited seating that could pose safety or accessibility issues.

Management and oversight appear to be in transition for parts of the facility. Some reviewers describe proactive leadership and improvements following staffing changes; others referenced communication breakdowns with families, problematic discharge coordination, and warnings or involvement by an ombudsman or regulatory entity. Taken together, these signals suggest the facility may be addressing known issues but that operational consistency remains a concern.

For prospective residents and families: the facility demonstrates clear strengths in individual caregiver commitment, rehabilitation capability, and a pleasant setting, but it also exhibits operational weaknesses tied to staffing consistency, clinical monitoring, sanitation/maintenance, and family communication. An inโ€‘person visit focused on observing staffing levels during peak times, asking about clinical-monitoring protocols, medication followโ€‘up practices, staff training and supervision, sanitation procedures, and recent regulatory history is advisable to determine whether the facilityโ€™s positive attributes align with the prospective residentโ€™s needs.

    About ARIA of Weyauwega

ARIA of Weyauwega sits at 717 E Alfred St in Weyauwega, Wisconsin, and offers skilled nursing care around the clock, every day of the week, so people always have someone to help them when they need it. The nursing home has 60 beds in private and semi-private rooms, all with air conditioning and private bathrooms, and folks who live there can use wireless internet, cable television, the computer center, and telephone service whenever they like, so staying in touch with family or enjoying some quiet time is pretty easy. There's a chapel for spiritual reflection, a community garden outside, and inside, a beauty salon, multi-purpose rooms for exercise, bingo, concerts, arts and crafts, and small get-togethers, and a wellness center that tries to keep everyone feeling healthy inside and out. Nutritious meals are served restaurant-style with diet plans for special needs, and residents can join in on activities like a resident council, community events, or enjoy time in a calm, rural setting. Skilled nursing staff provide care for anything from short-term rehab-meaning help after surgery or a hospital stay-to long-term help, as well as wound care, memory care for folks with Alzheimer's or dementia, and even palliative or hospice care. There's also help for people who need a short break from their regular caregivers, called respite care, which really helps families out sometimes. The staff include nurses and therapists trained in physical, occupational, and speech therapy, and they help with things like bathing, dressing, getting around, and managing medicines, all with the idea of being as gentle and respectful as possible. Transportation can be arranged for appointments or outings, and the place follows all the proper safety rules from the CDC and government health agencies. You'll find people enjoying life together-whether that's gardening, playing games, going outside, or simply having a good meal-supported by caring staff in a homelike place that takes pride in comfort and dignity for everyone.
