    Highly recommend this memory care

I placed my mom in memory care here and have been very pleased. The staff are amazing-kind, attentive, and went above and beyond-so she's safe, well looked-after, and has everything she needs. Communication was daily and flexible, the facility is clean, secure with an open layout and good staff-to-resident ratio, and I'm thankful for the family-like, caring team; I highly recommend them.

    Summary of reviews

The review summaries indicate a facility with clear strengths in frontline caregiving and family communication alongside notable operational concerns. Many families highlight compassionate, attentive staff who provide one-on-one attention, a favorable staff-to-resident ratio, and a family-like atmosphere. Reviewers emphasize daily, flexible communication with management and staff and an openness to tailoring care around family preferences. The physical environment is described as clean with an open floor plan and a secure layout, and the location is viewed positively for memory-care residents.

Care quality appears mixed: interpersonal care and routine assistance receive strong praise, with multiple accounts of staff going above-and-beyond to meet residents' needs. However, there are recurring concerns about safety systems and emergency responsiveness. Several comments point to issues with fall prevention, recognition of incidents, and timely staff response to urgent events. These descriptions suggest gaps in clinical incident protocols, supervision, or transfer/mobility procedures that merit review by management and clinical leadership.

Activity programming and social engagement are another area with mixed feedback. Reviewers note a need for more structured outdoor activities and expressed that social engagement can depend heavily on family involvement for outings and scheduling. This pattern implies limited facility-driven recreational programming or staffing for off-site activities rather than deficiencies in individual caregiver effort.

Management and ownership receive both positive and critical comments. On the positive side, managers are described as communicative and willing to let families set standards for care. Conversely, some family members perceive ownership or management decisions as financially driven, and there are concerns that those priorities may influence clinical or safety decisions. A small number of reviews referenced a resident death or serious incidents; these were discussed in the context of subsequent concerns about incident handling and follow-up communication.

For prospective residents and families: the facility demonstrates strong day-to-day caregiving strengths—engaged, caring staff and good interpersonal communication—making it attractive for families who prioritize hands-on attentiveness and individualized routines. At the same time, prospective families should inquire specifically about the facility's fall-prevention protocols, incident-response procedures, activity schedules (including outdoor and off-site options), and how ownership decisions are translated into clinical policies. Requesting recent incident logs, staffing ratios by shift, and examples of activity calendars can help clarify whether the operational concerns raised in these summaries have been addressed.

    About Haven Care- Evergreen

Haven Care-Evergreen in Albuquerque, NM, sits in a quiet custom neighborhood close to shops and restaurants, and it offers assisted living and memory care services in a homelike setting where they focus on giving care with kindness and understanding. The Evergreen House has five senior apartments, each one a private room with an en-suite bathroom, semi-private options too if folks prefer, and all the spaces are built for comfort with cozy common areas, open floor plans, and bedrooms designed to help residents relax. More facilities, like Fir House, Tres Hermanas, Cielos Abiertos, Kriss, and smaller homes like Home Sweet Home 1, are all part of the same network, and all together they cover a range of needs, offering everything from personal care to help with daily life, fitness activities, and even a safe courtyard for those with Alzheimer's or dementia so families know their loved ones can go outside safely. Residents get all-inclusive pricing, and there's an entry fee, but then they receive a custom care plan, round-the-clock caregivers, on-call nurses, and a call pendant system for safety, along with a keypad-protected entry so only trusted folks can get in, and for those who want, there are daily health checkups, wellness services, and plenty of fitness activities to keep folks moving. People who live here can bring small pets like cats and dogs, and the homes have big backyards with city and mountain views, so there are places to sit and enjoy some quiet or spend time with visiting family, and even trails for strolling. Meals happen in a large dining room, there's a communal kitchen, all laundry is taken care of, and dietary needs are considered. The staff offers help with movement, physical therapy, spoon feeding if needed, and help managing incontinence, plus there's a wellness center, therapy section, and a computer center for staying engaged. Haven Care-Evergreen puts a big focus on activities-round-table chats, cards, board games, art, dance, and singing help keep minds sharp, and there's a strong schedule of events including tea parties, movies, outings, gatherings for families and residents, and even spiritual or reflection outlets for those who want them. Licensed professionals visit for hair care and manicures, and massage therapy is part of regular care. The staff partners with animal, music, and massage therapists from around Albuquerque, and sometimes local children come by for intergenerational events, which means the days don't all blur together. The service here is made for seniors who can't live on their own safely but don't need the constant nursing of a full medical center, and every care plan is truly customized, aiming for as much comfort as possible, with well-trained aides supporting those with memory loss, helping address things like wandering or anxiety in gentle ways so every resident's dignity is kept.
