    Small, clean home, compassionate care

I'm very satisfied with this small, well-run home where my wife is happily living. It's very clean and homey, rooms are well-maintained (private and semi-private, handicapped equipped), and housekeeping/laundry are included. The staff are compassionate, certified, and friendly - the owner is engaged - and they provide home-cooked meals (three meals + snacks), doctor visits, hospice and dementia care, plus activities like exercises, games, movies, parties and one-on-one time. Overall the care feels efficient, family-like, and accommodating.

About Golden Age Assisted Living Home II LLC

Golden Age Assisted Living Home II LLC sits in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood in Goodyear, Arizona, and holds Arizona Department of Health Services license number AL10940H, allowing care for up to 10 seniors at a time, with license active from April 1, 2020, through March 31, 2025. This home emphasizes safety and follows all state rules, undergoing regular inspections, with the most recent records from March 5, 2024, and it's part of a network working toward transparency and quality. It offers both assisted living and specialized care for those living with Dementia or Alzheimer's, tailoring care to each person's needs, whether that means long-term stays, respite care, or post-rehab help, under the watchful eye of a registered nurse manager and trained, state-certified caregivers who monitor health and update resident plans. The facility offers 24-hour supervision and a call system for safety, giving residents and their families a bit more peace of mind.

The building has six bedrooms that can be private or semi-private to fit different comfort levels, two full bathrooms, and it's tastefully furnished, though families can choose to bring in their own things if they want to make it feel more like home, and there's also a spacious master suite with its own bathroom. Every room has premium cable TV, internet, and phone access. Residents share a family room and dining area, plus a backyard with a covered patio, giving people a chance for fresh air or to socialize in common spaces both indoors and out. The kitchen prepares daily home-cooked meals with an emphasis on using organic, kosher, and vegetarian ingredients when possible, and residents can count on 1 or 2 prepared meals a day, so they won't have to worry about grocery shopping or cooking, which can be a relief. Housekeeping and laundry come standard, and maintenance-free living means residents don't have to do chores. The home has air conditioning for the Arizona summers and rooms and bathrooms are wheelchair accessible for non-ambulatory residents.

The team includes 2 to 10 employees, so care is attention-focused, and services stretch from basic help like bathing, dressing, and managing medications, to diabetic and incontinence care, with hospice care available if needed. There's an in-house medical provider who can arrange for X-rays, ultrasounds, dental appointments, podiatry, and lab work on-site, so residents don't always need to leave the home for basic medical needs. If transportation is ever needed for outside appointments or outings, the staff helps arrange it at cost. The facility holds a record of following all state compliance rules and reporting, and there's a history of licensing reviews and inspections, with all compliance verified. There may be records about civil or criminal lawsuits, as with many care homes, but staff work hard to stick to rules and keep everything above board.

Residents can choose between private suites and shared rooms, depending on budget or needs, and the community is meant for seniors 55 or 62 and older, often attracting those who are still active or independent but want support as needed. The place can serve folks needing basic help as well as those with greater needs like memory care, and there are activity programs and common areas where people can socialize or rest as they choose. Most people move in for affordable assisted living, enjoying help with everyday living without the full cost of a nursing home. Reviews on SeniorAdvisor.com say the place has a strong reputation, with a 4.5-star "Excellent" rating, even though specific pricing isn't published. Staff members focus on the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of each resident in a calm, homelike setting, and there's free help available for families looking to compare different senior living options.
