    Compassionate staff, family-oriented COVID-free facility

I was very pleased with the compassionate, well-trained staff - Gabe and Jana especially - whose patient, dedicated care helped me recover and return home. The older building is well cared for, family-oriented and COVID-preventative/COVID-free, with good meals off the menu and daily activities (music programs, Bingo/games, church on Sundays). Staff are friendly, upfront and the conscientious owner is involved; I have heartfelt appreciation and strongly recommend this place.

    Summary of reviews

Overall sentiment across the reviews is strongly positive, with repeated emphasis on high-quality, compassionate care and a supportive, family-like culture. Multiple reviewers highlight friendliness and dedication among staff, and several comments single out specific employees (Gabe and Jana) for exemplary service. The consistent message is that caregivers are patient, well-trained in long-term care, and actively contribute to residentsโ€™ recovery and well-being, with at least one reviewer crediting the staff for enabling a successful return home.

Staff and care quality are the most prominent strengths. Reviewers describe staff as compassionate, patient, conscientious, and upfront when answering questions. Training in long-term care is noted, and the owner/management are portrayed as involved and conscientious, which reinforces confidence in clinical oversight and operations. The tone of gratitude in the reviews โ€” including a โ€˜โ€˜strong recommendationโ€™โ€™ โ€” suggests trust in both routine care and transitional rehab services.

Activities and social programming receive consistent praise and appear well-rounded. Daily activities are mentioned frequently, including music programs, church services on Sundays, Bingo, and other games, contributing to an engaged resident life. This programming, along with reports that residents are happy, indicates attention not only to physical care but also to social and emotional needs.

Dining is another positive theme. Reviewers note good food and the flexibility of offering meals off the menu, which suggests individualized attention to preferences and dietary needs. Positive dining feedback complements the overall impression of attentive daily living support.

COVID precautions are explicitly referenced, with reviewers calling out COVID-preventative measures and a COVID-free status. This indicates effective infection control practices and contributes to family confidence in safety, especially for more vulnerable populations.

The primary concern mentioned is the age of the building: reviewers call it an older facility. However, this is tempered by repeated observations that the facility is well cared for despite its age and that management and staff compensate through conscientious upkeep and quality service. No other significant negatives are raised in these summaries; there are no repeated complaints about care, food, or activities.

In summary, the reviews paint Bartlesville Health And Rehabilitation Community as a compassionate, well-managed long-term and rehabilitation provider where staff engagement, individualized attention, and a strong activity program are central strengths. The facilityโ€™s older physical plant is the only notable drawback mentioned, yet it does not appear to detract materially from residentsโ€™ satisfaction or from clinical and social outcomes. Families and former residents in these summaries express gratitude and confidence, often emphasizing staff members by name and recommending the community for others seeking attentive care and effective rehabilitation.

About Bartlesville Health and Rehabilitation Community

Bartlesville Health & Rehabilitation Community sits in a small town near Ascension St. John Jane Phillips Hospital, Urgent Care, and many doctors' offices, so residents don't have far to go when they need medical help, and with 119 beds, the place provides skilled nursing care, long-term health care, memory care, rapid recovery after a hospital stay, and independent living, which means it really tries to cover the needs of a lot of people, and you'll find staff available 24/7 to help out with daily living activities like eating, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, moving around, and making sure medicines are given on time, and not only does this facility keep a team of doctors, nurses, rehabilitation specialists, and support professionals, they also sit down with the residents, their families, and doctors to create care plans that fit each person, because not everyone needs the same thing. Some folks like to spend days in their own space with either private or shared rooms, both coming with cable TV and emergency call systems, so residents can have a bit of comfort and peace of mind, and if someone wants to eat in their own room instead of the cafรฉ, there's that option, though they do serve three meals a day in the cafe. People can get involved in things like exercise classes, bingo, arts and crafts, movie nights, gardening, ice cream socials, group outings, and sometimes live entertainment, so everyone can find something interesting to pass the time, and when someone wants to relax outside, the courtyards give a nice spot with fresh air and some quiet, and the on-site beauty shop helps keep everyone looking how they like. Staff also help out with social services, whether that's dealing with paperwork for moving in or lending a listening ear, and they're serious about looking after people's physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being, since it's not always about just the medicine but making sure folks feel right at home. The facility also offers housekeeping, laundry, a community room, and memory care with a secure area and trained staff, so families can feel a bit of relief knowing their loved ones are safe. Rehabilitation, both inpatient and outpatient, includes physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy, aiming to help folks get back on their feet after an illness or injury, and when people want to keep living on their own, the independent living apartments have kitchens and emergency call systems for extra security. Owned by Alex and Missy Dout, with Cordell Rumsey as the Administrator, the facility's got a long-standing reputation for treating people with dignity and compassion, making sure residents are as healthy and independent as possible, and the locally owned nature helps keep a family-feel to the place.
