    Impressive facility, caring attentive staff

I placed my mother here for rehab and was impressed by the brand-new, state-of-the-art facility - clean, bright, large single rooms with en-suite baths and beautiful common areas. The staff were professional, friendly and responsive (RNs, CNAs, attentive administration and standout caregiver Precious Evans), and the therapy team - even therapy dog Buddy - provided excellent, attentive care. Excellent flavorful food with flexible dining, abundant activities and onsite amenities (salon, market, bank, spa) on a lovely 23-acre Buckhead campus gave us real peace of mind; I would bring her back and highly recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

The Terraces at Peachtree Hills Place presents as an upscale, newly built senior living community with strong strengths in rehabilitation, amenities, and residential environment. Reviewers consistently praise the facility's physical features: bright, well-planned common areas, large single rooms with en-suite bathrooms, new landscaping and grounds, and a range of on-site services such as a salon, market, bank, and day spa. The property’s location in Buckhead and its attractive outdoor spaces are also noted as positive contributors to resident quality of life.

Clinical and direct-care quality is a prominent positive. The rehabilitation program — including physical and occupational therapy — is described as effective and attentive, and therapists receive specific commendation. Nursing staff and CNAs are frequently characterized as caring and family-oriented; families cite particular caregivers by name when describing positive experiences. The community also supports wellness through organized activities (art classes, Tai Chi, exercise sessions, monthly outings), a therapy-dog program, and flexible visiting hours, all of which contribute to a sense of community and resident engagement.

Dining and hospitality receive generally favorable comments for flavorful meals and dietary accommodations, including options for dining-room service or room delivery and a personal-chef model in some contexts. That said, meal quality and service consistency emerged as an area of variability: while many families report very positive experiences, others note unevenness in specific meals or portion/service expectations. Ancillary operational strengths include prompt equipment ordering and helpful assistance with Medicare paperwork and discharge planning.

Operational and management patterns show a mix of responsiveness and inconsistency. Administrative staff are often described as willing to listen and make adjustments, contributing to families’ sense of being heard. Conversely, reviewers also describe instances of slow admission responses, phone-call lapses, and communication gaps; these patterns have affected perceptions of customer service. Night staffing and responsiveness to resident call systems are specific operational concerns, and there are occasional housekeeping and maintenance follow-through issues (for example, trash checks and common-area upkeep) that indicate variability in day-to-day operations.

Cost and scope-of-care considerations are relevant for prospective residents. The community is positioned at a higher price point, and some families question long-term value relative to cost despite the newness and high-end finishes. A few accounts indicate the facility has limited capacity to accommodate higher-acuity medical needs, suggesting that families should clarify the facility’s clinical limits before admission.

In summary, The Terraces at Peachtree Hills Place appears to be a strong option for people seeking an upscale, activity-rich community with an effective rehab program and attentive daytime clinical staff. Prospective residents and families should plan an on-site visit focused on three operational areas: (1) specific staffing and responsiveness expectations across all shifts, (2) meal-service policies and how dietary preferences are handled consistently, and (3) written clarity on levels of clinical care supported and the full cost structure. These steps will help assess whether the community’s many physical and clinical strengths align with an individual resident’s needs and expectations.

About The Terraces at Peachtree Hills Place

The Terraces at Peachtree Hills Place sits in Atlanta, Georgia, and has many kinds of living and care options for older adults. The campus feels calm and comfortable, with spaces like fine dining rooms, art studios, walking trails, a dog park, and even two croquet courts for a bit of friendly competition, where the Croquet Club is a member of the United States Croquet Association. Residents get a high level of support, with a club and lodge serving chef-prepared meals, a wellness clinic, and indoor pools for swimming or water aerobics, plus gyms for exercise classes like yoga and Pilates, and there's even personal trainers who come right to you for fitness planning when you want. People here have their pick of nice floorplans, some with private balconies, like The Ansley and The Chadwick, and there's a member portal so family can stay involved.

Help is always around, since there's caregivers and nurses on-site all day and night, with a care partner to member ratio of 1:5, plus a medical director stops in regularly. Doctors, nurses, and therapists help with daily needs, routine checkups, and different kinds of therapy. There's a mix of care, too, like assisted living, skilled nursing, memory care, and short-term rehab for when someone needs help getting back on their feet after surgery or an illness.

For folks with memory loss or dementia, there's Garden House, Mountain House, and Lake House, all designed with different stages and needs in mind-one's quieter, one's more supportive for harder days, and the care team always tries to meet each person where they are, with specific people like a Memory Care Guide and specially trained care partners involved. There's also the River House for mild cognitive issues, and the Farm House for folks who need more hands-on help. Staff has experience and good attitudes, and residents mention the rooms as clean and open.

There are a lot of ways to stay busy, like club meetings, classes, and cultural events with guest speakers or theater. The community runs on a life plan model, so if needs change, help is available without having to leave familiar surroundings. The staff offers specialized help with daily living, meals (often made to follow a Mediterranean diet), laundry, housekeeping, and transportation, and there are planned activities every week-ballroom gatherings, gardening, woodworking, and plenty of social spaces for friends and family to visit. People often appreciate the thoughtful design, personal care, and variety of activities, which bring neighbors together and keep life interesting, even on slow days.
