    Excellent compassionate care and rehab

I placed a loved one here and had a very good experience. The staff - from nursing and therapy to administration (special thanks to Erica) - were compassionate, communicative, and truly involved; the rehab care was excellent, meals tasty, rooms and grounds immaculate, and activities kept residents engaged. I felt treated like partners in care and would recommend this facility for short-term rehab or long-term care.

    Summary of reviews

Blue Circle Rehab and Nursing elicits strongly mixed but actionable impressions. A consistent strength across reviews is the clinical rehabilitation program and many families credit therapists with measurable functional gains and individualized care plans that facilitated return home. Direct-care staff are frequently described as compassionate, attentive, and engaged; reviewers also cited responsive social work and admissions personnel who provide helpful information and assist with transitions and benefits such as VA services.

Operationally, the facility demonstrates clear strengths in areas families often value: proactive admissions and administrative support, visible clinical leadership, hospice coordination, and a robust activities program that includes bingo, crafts, group singing, and other social opportunities. Several comments emphasize a warm, community-oriented culture in which residents are dressed, social, and participating. The property layout, grounds, and many resident rooms were described as clean and well maintained, contributing to a non-clinical, home-like atmosphere for many residents.

Contrasting with those positives are recurring operational concerns that prospective families should evaluate. Staffing levels and resident-to-staff ratios are commonly noted as inconsistent, which reviewers associated with delays in routine care tasks and variability in service. Relatedly, several accounts indicate unevenness in clinical-care practices—specifically wound-care follow-up and turning/positioning protocols—which suggests a need to verify clinical safeguards and oversight. Cleanliness and sanitation were praised in many areas but were described as inconsistent in others, and noise control and general maintenance were variable across the building.

Dining impressions are mixed: the dietary team is characterized as proactive and attentive, and some families reported high-quality meals, while others point to limited menu variety and fluctuating food quality. Management and customer-service experiences also vary; some reviewers singled out admissions staff and the director for exemplary communication and problem resolution, while others described dismissive or unhelpful interactions. There is at least one mention of a personal-property incident and a vehicle vandalism concern, so asking about on-site security and incident response is advisable. The facility permits outdoor smoking and has limited outdoor amenity space in some areas, which may be relevant for families considering outdoor access and air quality.

Recommendation: prospective residents and families should schedule an in-person tour and ask targeted operational questions—current staffing ratios on the unit, protocols for wound care and turning, infection-control and sanitation audits, the dining cycle and menu options, activity schedules, security measures, and leadership turnover or stability. Many families find Blue Circle strong in rehabilitation, compassionate caregiving, and community life; however, variability in staffing, clinical consistency, and some maintenance/sanitation issues warrant direct verification during a visit and follow-up conversations with facility leadership.
