    Spotless welcoming facility, compassionate staff

I moved my mom here and am very pleased - the facility is spotless, welcoming and home-like, with beautiful outdoor spaces. The staff are friendly, compassionate and responsive (nurses, aides and office team), meals and dining are good, and there are plenty of activities and outings that keep residents engaged; my mom feels happy, safe and well cared for. I would recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

The reviews describe a facility with many clear strengths alongside recurring operational concerns. Consistently praised elements include compassionate direct-care staff, a welcoming front-desk and administrative team, a bright and modern physical environment, and a robust activities program that many residents find engaging. Families repeatedly note that aides and some nurses form close relationships with residents, and that admissions and transition support is often helpful. Dining and kitchen staff receive frequent commendation for accommodating special requests and preparing appealing meals for many residents.

Care quality is characterized in mixed terms. Several reviewers highlight knowledgeable nursing leadership, comprehensive care plans, and attentive aides; others describe variable clinical responsiveness. Common themes include inconsistent staff coverage (particularly overnight), frequent turnover among health aides and some nursing positions, and concerns about medication handling and documentation. There are repeated mentions of delayed attention to clinical issues and instances where staff response did not meet family expectations. Memory-care operations are an area of particular concern for some families, with notes about reduced monitoring, limited clinically oriented activity programming, and uneven nursing presence on the unit.

Dining and activities are notable strengths for many residents. Reviewers frequently report a wide variety of activities, outings, music and faith-based programming, and an active social atmosphere that helps residents acclimate and build friendships. At the same time, some families cite inconsistent food quality, smaller portions, and limited variety for certain resident preferences or dietary needs. Kitchen and housekeeping cleanliness are often commended, although isolated sanitation or odor concerns in specific common areas were mentioned.

Facility and maintenance feedback is similarly mixed. Many reviewers describe the building as clean, modern, and attractive with pleasant outdoor areas. Conversely, there are repeated comments about maintenance delays, unresolved repairs (for example plumbing or shower issues), and slow completion of work orders. A small number of reviews raise security and safety concerns, including instances of resident wandering/elopement and an occasion of theft; these items point to gaps in risk-management and incident-prevention practices.

Management and communication show both strengths and weaknesses. Several families praise compassionate, accessible directors and staff who resolve routine concerns quickly. Others describe communication breakdowns during significant events, dissatisfaction with how incidents were investigated or shared with families, and leadership turnover that can create inconsistency. One cluster of reviews referenced serious-incident allegations and questioned the facility’s handling and transparency; this underscores the importance of reviewing recent incident records and inspection results when evaluating the community.

For prospective residents and families: weigh the facility’s strong social environment, engaged activity offerings, and many caring staff members against persistent operational patterns that could affect clinical safety and continuity of care. Suggested questions for a tour or admissions conversation include current staff-to-resident ratios (day and night), protocols for medication administration and scanning, memory-care staffing and monitoring practices, average maintenance-response times, incident-investigation procedures, and recent health-inspection outcomes. These targeted inquiries will help clarify whether the facility’s strengths align with a particular resident’s clinical and safety needs.
