    Nice community, inconsistent medical care

I have mixed feelings. The building is bright, clean and homey, apartments are nice, the activities program (phenomenal director) keeps residents engaged, and many staff are loving, attentive and professional - location is convenient. But it's expensive, Medicaid isn't accepted, and care is inconsistent: understaffing, slow call-button response, some lazy CNAs, miscommunication, and scary safety lapses (missing resident incidents, lost DNR, even reports of severe neglect). Food and dining are generally good and social, but meal choices can be unsafe for diabetics (hot dogs with chili), and there's no on-site rehab - transport is inconvenient. Overall I'd recommend it for active seniors or early-stage memory care who want a social, well-run community; I would not trust it for advanced medical needs or very frail loved ones.
