    Summary of reviews

Reviews for Delhi Post Acute are strongly polarized, with a substantial number of families and former residents describing positive, rehabilitative short-term stays while others raise serious operational concerns for longer-term placements. The facility is frequently praised for its therapy team, many staff members, and attractive grounds; however, recurring themes in negative comments indicate inconsistent execution of basic care and facility operations.

Care and clinical oversight: Many reviewers describe attentive nursing and aide support, particularly during short-term rehabilitation stays and therapy courses. The therapy department and rehabilitation teams receive consistent positive mention for effectiveness and teamwork. Conversely, other accounts raise concerns about medication-administration reliability, missed clinical checks (including blood-glucose monitoring), and inconsistent follow-through on care plans. These discrepancies suggest variability in clinical performance between shifts or units and point to the need for clearer protocols and oversight.

Staff and culture: A large portion of feedback highlights friendly, welcoming staff who treat residents with respect and provide emotional support, contributing to a family-like atmosphere. At the same time, there are repeated comments about inconsistent staffing, rotating personnel, and variable training that produce uneven resident experiences. Several reviewers cited delays in response to call lights and instances where staff conduct or responsiveness did not meet expectations, indicating gaps in supervision and staff development.

Dining and activities: Dining opinions vary. Positive reviewers note a varied menu, hospital-style comfort foods, and recent improvements under a new chef. Negative feedback focuses on inconsistent meal temperature and preparation, lack of appropriate diet accommodations for specific needs (for example, diabetic-friendly options), and occasional service lapses. Activity programming and social engagement are generally seen as strong, with residents describing engaging and home-like recreational offerings.

Facilities and housekeeping: The facility’s grounds and outdoor areas receive consistent praise for being park-like and well maintained. Interior spaces are described as bright and cheery by many. In contrast, several critiques concern sanitation processes, odor issues in some areas, inconsistent linen and bedding change practices, and pest-control concerns. These observations point to variability in housekeeping standards or maintenance follow-through across units or time periods.

Management and communication: Experiences with administration are mixed. Some families credit responsive management and visible improvement during remodeling or staffing changes. Others report difficulty reaching leadership, unanswered phone calls, limited availability of senior clinical leaders (DON/ADON), and rigid visitation or transfer policies that intensified family frustration. There are also serious allegations in the record, including theft and camera tampering, and concerns following a resident’s death; these items indicate the importance of confirming a facility’s incident-investigation processes and security protocols.

Notable patterns and recommendations: The dominant pattern is one of inconsistency—many strengths are present but are not reliably experienced by all residents. Positive short-term rehab outcomes and strong therapy services coexist with operational weaknesses in housekeeping, medication management, communication, and security. Prospective residents and families should schedule an in-person visit, observe multiple shifts if possible, and ask targeted questions about staffing ratios, medication-administration checks, infection-control and pest-control logs, dietary accommodations, property-security measures, incident reporting procedures, and visitation flexibility. Verifying recent survey results and speaking with current families can help clarify whether improvements are sustained over time.

    About Delhi Post Acute

Premier Estates of Cincinnati, located off Bender Road and surrounded by trees in Cincinnati, Ohio, offers several levels of care including skilled nursing, independent living, assisted living, memory care, and home care, so seniors get support that fits their needs, and the place has 100 Medicare and Medicaid approved beds, averaging about 73 occupied, and you'll notice right away some clean courtyards, a big rehab gym, and private rooms with kitchenettes and bathrooms that give folks a bit of privacy and home comfort, plus there's helpful features like walk-in showers, emergency call systems, and air conditioning in each room, so everyone can get around safely and feel at ease, and they've got things like a movie room, library, activity center, music and arts spaces, gaming rooms, fitness and spa rooms, and of course outdoor gardens and walking paths, so there's always somewhere to relax, read, or join in a planned group activity, while meal times happen in an inviting, restaurant-style dining room with chef-prepared food made from quality ingredients, and options are available for allergies or diabetes, and meals are served throughout the day.

Registered nurses, LPNs, and CNAs are on duty with supervised care 24/7, covering both short-term and long-term needs, and the staff keeps a close eye on everyone, ready to help with bathing, dressing, medication, and even transfers for folks who can't get around on their own, and their skilled staff has earned an A- grade in nursing quality, while overall ratings from audits and Medicare come to about 3 out of 5, so families know the care is steady and reliable, and the facility currently doesn't have any substantiated complaints or fines, though there have been six reported incidents, and the health audits gave it a 2/5 health rating, so there is always some room for improvement, but people working here have been recognized in "Most Friendly" staff awards, and residents often mention how helpful and joyful the care team can be.

There's a memory care program with trained support for those living with dementia or Alzheimer's, with extra safety measures like emergency alert systems, daily supervision, and secure outdoor areas, and activity calendars cover both group and resident-led events, including movie nights, music sessions, and art projects, and transportation is available for doctor visits, errands, and community outings, while family support and move-in help make transitions easier, and visitors mention the peaceful views, abundance of natural light, and how well-kept everything is throughout, so the setting feels welcoming if you're just dropping by or staying for a while.

Seniors living here get services like housekeeping, laundry, and even a beauty salon on-site, and there's internet and cable TV throughout the building, plus a smoke area outside for those who smoke, and the senior living community runs as a for-profit LLC, residents can take part in a resident council, and there's a focus on safety through features like a sprinkler system, and though there's no family council, families are included in care updates and events. The Premier Estates of Cincinnati has received several "Best of Senior Living" awards and is part of a larger Premier Estates group, with a name that aims to show its focus on quality and excellence in care, and the facility sits within a hospital setting, offering specialized therapies like speech, occupational, and physical therapy, with licensed staff on hand, and residents can expect both scheduled and as-needed care, support for ADLs, and plenty of opportunities to stay mentally, socially, and physically well, and all things considered, it's a steady choice for folks looking for reliable day-to-day support with some nice amenities in a pleasant Cincinnati setting.
