    Summary of reviews

The reviews for Lindsay Manor Nursing Home are sharply mixed, with distinct clusters of positive experiences alongside serious operational concerns. Several families describe a warm, home-like environment where nurses and aides are caring, attentive, and create a family-style atmosphere. Those reviewers praise food quality, facility cleanliness, and engaging interpersonal interactions that contributed to residents feeling comfortable and well cared for.

Care quality appears inconsistent. Positive accounts point to high-quality clinical care and compassionate day-to-day assistance. However, recurring concerns include inconsistent medication administration and timing, unreliable mealtime assistance for residents who require help, and inadequate monitoring or provision of fluids. These patterns suggest variability in clinical processes and in staffing consistency or training.

Staffing and communication show similar contrast. Many reviewers name specific staff members as kind and attentive, creating a sense of safety and rapport. Conversely, other accounts raise concerns about staff conduct and tone, including unprofessional communication and poor reception practices when families call. These mixed reports indicate uneven staff behavior and inconsistent customer-service standards.

Dining and housekeeping are also mixed. Several reviewers compliment food and overall cleanliness, while others raise pest-control concerns related to food-service areas and report episodes where dependent residents did not receive assistance at mealtimes. Taken together, these comments suggest strengths in routine meal preparation and environmental upkeep, offset by episodic sanitation and service-control problems that should be probed further by families.

Facility policies and operations are an area of notable divergence. Some reviewers describe a welcoming, lively setting; others report restrictive visitation and confinement practices and limited access to outdoor or communal spaces. There are also mentions of infection-control measures and quarantine practices that were implemented in ways families found unclear or overly restrictive. In at least one instance reviewers referenced a legal action and an allegation of mistreatment; this elevates the need for clear documentation and transparent communication from management.

Management and regulatory issues emerge as recurring themes. Positive notes reference improvements after past administrative changes, while negative comments point to regulatory or compliance vulnerabilities, inadequate safeguards for residents' personal belongings, and gaps in family communication. Prospective residents and families should request documentation of staffing ratios, medication-administration protocols, infection-control policies, pest-control logs, recent survey or inspection results, and examples of how the facility handles family complaints and incident investigations.

Overall, Lindsay Manor shows a combination of genuine strengthsโ€”particularly among individual caregiving staff and in the creation of a homey atmosphereโ€”and operational weaknesses that have led to serious family concerns. For those considering the facility, a focused tour and targeted questions about medication management, mealtime assistance, hydration practices, visitation policy, pest-control measures, and recent regulatory history will be important to assess whether the facilityโ€™s positive aspects are consistent and whether the operational issues have been addressed.

    About Lindsay Manor Nursing Home

Lindsay Manor Nursing Home, also known as Lindsay Nursing & Rehab, sits in Lindsay, Oklahoma, with a Google Plus Code of R9PH+F4 and 106 beds, and you'll find it's a medium-sized, for-profit facility that offers both short-term rehab and long-term care for seniors. The staff call this a warm and inviting place, and with the Administrator, Jefferson White, leading, people get nursing home care, assisted living, independent living, and memory care all in the one building, which has private rooms that come fully furnished with air conditioning, cable, kitchenettes, and regular housekeeping and linen services, so families can feel a bit more at ease visiting their loved ones. The folks living there get all sorts of help with daily chores-bathing, dressing, eating, bathroom visits, medication administration-and if someone's got Alzheimer's or dementia, there's a special secure memory care area where staff use special programs and memory-friendly activities to keep residents safe, engaged, and less likely to wander. Nurses remain onsite all the time, giving round-the-clock skilled nursing care for those who need wound care, rehab, medication management, or medical oversight, and the staff gives an average of 3 hours and 36 minutes of care per resident each day-even on weekends, care levels stay high. There's short-term respite care, some hospice care, home health support, and companion care, and the dedicated team helps with recovery for those coming from the hospital, all while working hard to keep residents functioning well and feeling supported.

Amenities at Lindsay Manor range from a dining room serving chef-prepared meals, a computer center, a fitness room, a garden and outdoor spaces, a gaming room, and a wellness center to a small library for quiet afternoons, and residents enjoy restaurant-style dining with meals planned by chefs to keep food tasty and healthy. There's parking, transportation help for errands or appointments, and community-sponsored outings and activities, plus a calendar filled with things to do that help everyone stay social and active, which helps make days feel less lonely. Flu shots find nearly universal use every year-about 96.5% of the people get vaccinated-and falls and urgent problems stay rare, with staff reporting no major falls among short-term residents and tracking emergency room visits closely at rates below national averages. The building has passed many safety and health inspections, the latest in early 2024, and the nursing staff meets regulated caregiver-to-resident ratios, so there's plenty of help on hand at any hour. It's described as a safe, peaceful community where seniors thrive with personalized attention and support, whether they're looking for long-term comfort or just need a bit of help during recovery, and with its presence on Facebook and a property website, families can easily check for updates or learn more about activities and care options offered for the folks who live there.
