    Comfortable, secure 55+ community recommended

I've lived here and overall I like it - a secure, gated 55+ independent-living community with storm shelters, ponds, walking trails and lovely grounds. My spacious, high-end apartment/cottage has granite counters, walk-in shower, in-unit washer/dryer and a private porch with a water view. There are abundant daily activities (brunches, potlucks, exercise, movies, crafts), friendly neighbors, and responsive maintenance; staff have been helpful throughout my move. It's a comfortable, active place for healthy seniors and I'm happy to recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

Grace Pointe is described primarily as an independent‑living community that emphasizes scenic grounds, safety features, and a socially active resident life. Many accounts highlight the campus setting — ponds, walking trails, landscaping, and a gated entry — along with in‑unit conveniences such as modern finishes, in‑unit laundry, garages on larger homes, and guest lodging for visitors. The property also has several built‑in safety features that prospective residents and families consistently mention, including storm/tornado shelters and a secure, 55+ focus.

Staff and daily life receive mixed but generally positive commentary. Office and maintenance teams are frequently characterized as courteous and quick to respond; residents and visitors praise helpfulness during routine requests and transitions. The community offers an extensive activity program (exercise classes, movies, potlucks, concerts, clubs, outings) and many residents describe an engaged, family‑like atmosphere. On the other hand, reviewers indicate variability in staffing experience and occasional gaps in how the team manages complex transitions or medical situations; this has produced some concerns about communication and follow‑through in higher‑need scenarios.

Dining and services are variable and merit clarification during a tour. The community hosts regular communal meals, potlucks, and brunches alongside resident‑organized food events, but other feedback indicates limited formal meal service and no full housekeeping package for some unit types. Prospective residents should confirm which dining options and service levels are included with specific units.

Facilities and amenities are a strong selling point: community rooms, gym, theater, library, community garden, guest apartments, and well‑maintained interior finishes in many cottages and apartments. However, there are recurrent comments about inconsistent grounds and exterior maintenance—examples include fencing, walkways, and some landscaping issues—and a number of reviews link those concerns to ownership or management transitions. Internet and technology reliability is also mentioned as an operational issue in a few accounts.

Management and financial matters show a split pattern. Several families praise individualized touring and move‑in assistance, while others report contract and lease frustrations, perceived rent increases, and dissatisfaction with property‑level promises not being fulfilled after sales or administrative changes. For prospective residents and families, it is advisable to review lease terms carefully, ask for written commitments about exterior and grounds maintenance, confirm the availability of any clinical or assisted‑living support if that is anticipated in the future, and test internet/technology services during a visit.

Overall, Grace Pointe appears well suited to independent, active seniors who prioritize community programming, outdoor amenities, and a secure campus. Those with increasing care needs, strict accessibility requirements, or concerns about long‑term value should investigate the facility’s assisted‑care options, accessibility features, and management responsiveness before committing.

    About Grace Pointe

Grace Pointe sits in Moore, Oklahoma, and is made for adults 55 and older who still want to keep busy and have a simple living situation without a lot of chores. People live in custom single-story cottages, and those homes have big walk-in showers with rock walls and floors, covered porches with ceiling fans, and views of water, ponds with ducks, or landscaped gardens, so there's always something nice to see. Each home comes with its own full kitchen, black granite countertops, big living spaces, private patios, and either one, two, or three bedrooms, and the homes are all on one level for easy access. There are alarms on the homes, and the community has a gated entrance, which helps keep things quiet and safe, plus there's a storm shelter for extra protection during Oklahoma weather, which can get rough sometimes.

There are a lot of places to gather outside or indoors-people can walk on the trails, fish in the ponds, relax in garden and greenhouse areas, or just sit and talk with neighbors. The community tries to help folks make friends through regular events like wine tastings, book clubs, movies, holiday parties, or potlucks, and there are always chances to join a card game or chat over coffee. The clubhouse acts like the center of the neighborhood, offering fitness classes, arts and crafts, social gatherings, and group outings, and there's a gym, a big movie theater room, a game lounge, and a library, so there's something for different interests. Those who want to garden can join in the community garden, and there's also a spot for pets, since animals are welcome.

Grace Pointe has maintenance-free living, which means staff takes care of the household repairs and outside work, and keeps everything running. It's also got options for folks who need more help, including Assisted Living, Memory Care for those with Alzheimer's or dementia, skilled nursing, and even residential care homes for those who need a live-in caregiver. Some parts of Grace Pointe offer secure apartments for people who need extra safety, and there are guest houses for visitors, covered parking, and storage space.

This place doesn't provide meals or housekeeping, since it focuses on letting people live on their own, but there's a big focus on wellness, friendly staff, and social programs, and that seems to be one reason it has won awards like "Best of Senior Living." Whether someone wants to join activities, relax in their own place, or walk with their dog by a pond, Grace Pointe aims to have a little bit of everything while keeping things simple and safe.
