    Welcoming, clean, communicative senior community

I placed my mom here and have been very pleased. Staff from the front desk to leadership were welcoming, attentive, and communicative; the community is clean, modern and apartment-like with roomy layouts and large walk-in closets. Meals, activities, and regular family updates have been solid - I'd happily recommend this place.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression: Reviews describe a facility with strong environmental and relational strengths alongside several operational inconsistencies. Many families and visitors highlight clean, well‑maintained spaces, spacious apartment designs, attractive grounds and a hotel‑like, welcoming atmosphere. Staff warmth and individualized care—especially when clinical leadership and the Director of Nursing are actively involved—are recurring positives. The community offers a range of activities, faith-based services, therapy-dog visits, and on-site dining that includes special-event meals.

Care and staff: Clinical leadership and direct-care staff receive frequent praise for attentiveness, compassion, and hands‑on involvement with residents. Several accounts specifically commend the DON and community leadership for conducting thorough assessments and for keeping families informed about care plans. At the same time, reviews point to variable staff performance and professionalism in some interactions, as well as occasional lapses in caregiver availability. Reviewers also describe isolated medication-administration and handling issues; these indicate a need for consistent clinical processes and oversight rather than a uniformly good or bad pattern.

Dining: Dining experiences are mixed. Many reviewers note enjoyable meals, special holiday and fine‑dining events, and menu choices, while other accounts describe unsatisfactory food quality and problems with meal delivery. The combination of positive special events and inconsistent everyday meal service suggests uneven food‑service execution. Ownership has signaled plans for a revised meal plan and kitchen delivery improvements, which may address continuity concerns if implemented effectively.

Activities: Activity programming is generally seen as a strength for residents who participate—reviews mention meaningful events, social engagement, and available church services. However, activity engagement appears to vary by resident; some families found the calendar robust and purposeful, while others felt programming did not suit their relative’s preferences. Prospective residents should review the current activity schedule and observe participation levels relevant to their interests.

Facilities and location: The physical plant is consistently described as clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed, with roomy floor plans, private baths, ample storage, and courtyard entries in some units. The property’s proximity to shopping and pharmacies is noted as a convenience. Planned exterior remodeling and ongoing maintenance projects indicate investment in the campus, though a few reviewers flagged the timeliness of repairs after weather events.

Management and patterns of concern: The provider is undergoing an ownership/management transition in places, with promises of new management and staff training. This change correlates with both reported improvements (retained staff, planned upgrades) and uncertainty about operational consistency. A notable pattern is inconsistent clinical communication and infection‑control transparency—examples include unclear COVID testing/isolation policies, limited post‑isolation testing clarity, and inconsistent updates about medical visits. These issues point to gaps in clinical communication protocols and family notification practices. Staffing variability, medication‑administration controls, meal‑service continuity, and occasional administrative follow‑up lapses are operational areas to verify during a tour.

Bottom line: The community offers many strengths—clean, attractive facilities; spacious apartments; engaged leadership; and generally compassionate staff. Families prioritizing environment, leadership engagement, and social programming may find it well suited. However, prospective residents and families should specifically assess current meal-service practices, medication‑safety protocols, staffing levels for direct care, and the community’s infection‑control and clinical-communication procedures, particularly given recent management transition activity and uneven experiences reported across those domains.
