    Skilled, attentive staff restored mom

My mom moved in and I'm very pleased - the staff are friendly, engaged, and kind (special thanks to Ruth, Nana, Stephenie, Jessica and the therapy team), and the skilled PT/OT helped her regain mobility. The building is clean and organized with great dining, activities, salon and rehab amenities, responsive maintenance/concierge/transportation, and overall very satisfied with the attentive, person-centered care.

    Summary of reviews

The reviews reflect a strongly mixed picture of Statesman Health and Rehabilitation Center. A recurring positive theme is the quality of rehabilitative care: many families describe significant gains in mobility and independence after physical and occupational therapy, with several residents discharged home after successful therapy programs. Multiple reviewers praised individual staff members across nursing, respiratory therapy, and therapy teams for compassionate, person-centered care; others highlighted helpful support from concierge, transportation, and discharge-planning staff. The facility's activities program, communal spaces, and some dining staff receive frequent commendation for creating a home-like environment and engaging residents.

At the same time, there are consistent operational concerns. Staffing levels and coverage are often described as inconsistent, which reviewers link to slow responses to call bells and delays in attending to toileting or incontinence-care needs. Cleanliness and sanitation standards are uneven across reports: while some visitors describe a well-kept environment, others note odor concerns and housekeeping lapses. Medication-administration delays and inconsistencies in timely delivery of medications are a repeated theme and are sometimes connected with broader gaps in clinical-incident response and family communication.

Management and administrative practices show a similar split. Several reviewers praised proactive managers, an accessible director of nursing and social worker support, and responsiveness from maintenance. Conversely, other families reported significant billing and claims problems, poor phone responsiveness, lost personal belongings, and concerns about confidentiality. There are also serious, individual-level allegations involving theft and financial misconduct and concerns following adverse outcomes; those claims are significant and merit investigation through appropriate regulatory or legal channels.

Dining and activities are generally strengths when the kitchen and activity staff are engaged: many reviewers noted attentive servers, good meals, and a broad schedule of programs and outings. However, occasional complaints address food quality and missed meal deliveries. Facility condition reports are mixed as well — some describe pleasant grounds and comfortable common areas, while others point to outdated interiors, entrance and door issues, and uneven housekeeping.

For prospective residents and families: the facility offers strong rehabilitative capability and several staff members who provide excellent, compassionate care, but there is variability in day-to-day operations that can affect safety, sanitation, medication timeliness, and communication. A careful tour and targeted questions are advised — ask about current staffing ratios, call-bell response metrics, medication administration protocols, housekeeping schedules, billing practices, incident-report procedures, and how management tracks and resolves family concerns. Those steps will help clarify whether the facility's strengths align with a specific resident's needs and risk tolerance.

Statesman Health and Rehabilitation Center sits in Levittown, PA, easy to get to from US-1 S with an exit onto PA-413 N, and the place has 101 certified beds for those who need long-term or skilled nursing care, so you see folks come for both short stays after surgery or illness and for longer support when living with chronic conditions. The team includes physicians, psychiatrists, psychoanalysts, nurses, and caregivers who speak English, and they work together to give personal attention and help with daily needs like bathing, dressing, medication, and getting in and out of bed, plus there's support for both ambulatory and non-ambulatory residents. The facility's got onsite kidney dialysis through Dialyze Direct, so residents won't need to travel out for that, and this setup allows them to do other therapies while getting dialysis, plus family and friends can visit a bit easier with the way they schedule things. There's also a solid Pulmonary Rehabilitation program covering everything from sleep apnea and pulmonary hypertension to COPD and post-lung transplant care, and staff on hand can manage tracheostomies and help with weaning when needed. Statesman Health and Rehabilitation Center offers both long-term and short-term care, with 24-hour supervision, regular nursing shifts, and a call system for emergencies, and all kinds of care services from help with transfers to managing medications and chronic illnesses get covered as well.

For those who like amenities, the place offers furnished rooms with air conditioning, private bathrooms, and Wi-Fi, and people can relax in a garden, use the walking paths, or join in outdoor programs and common areas. Residents can enjoy movie nights, arts and crafts, music programs, fitness activities, spa visits, and more, and there's a focus on building community with resident-run events and wellness programs. The facility accepts Medicare and Medicaid and operates as a for-profit corporation, so seniors with complex care needs or those needing extended care can get comprehensive support here. Statesman Health and Rehabilitation Center has earned awards from the American Health Care Association, including the Silver level and a 2020 quality recognition, showing a record for meeting certain standards. The environment stays compassionate, staff listen to what each person needs, and the main goal here is steady, thoughtful health improvement in a setting designed for safety and comfort.
