    Beautiful caring memory care facility

I chose this place for my mother and I'm very pleased. The facility is beautiful, bright, and spotless with large rooms, gardens and a sunny common area. Staff are kind, patient and responsive, management is accessible, and memory care is well planned. There are lots of daily activities (arts, games, cooking, outdoor entertainment), fresh in-house meals, an on-site salon and doctor - strong community feel and easy to get to know people. I feel she's safe, cared for, and I highly recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression: Frontida of Kimberly presents as a well-maintained, attractively designed community with many features families value. Multiple comments highlight bright, cheery common areas, large rooms, a sunroom and patio gardens, and an organized physical layout. The community offers an array of on-site services — including salon services, scheduled activities, and on-site medical support — that contribute to a small-community atmosphere where staff and residents become familiar with one another.

Care and staff: Reviewers commonly describe staff as compassionate, friendly, and upbeat, and note accessible management during tours and follow-up conversations. The memory-care program is consistently described as structured and well planned. At the same time, there is evidence of variability in day-to-day staff performance: reviewers raise concerns about inconsistent assistance with personal-care tasks (for example, dressing and meal feeding) and describe staffing shortages and turnover that appear to affect continuity of care. Families also raised issues about timeliness of staff response to calls and alarms, which suggests gaps in response protocols or staffing allocation.

Dining: Dining is frequently praised — meals are described as freshly prepared, attractive, and including enjoyable desserts. Activities that incorporate cooking were also viewed positively as both social and therapeutic. However, there are notes about unclear menu communication and occasional inconsistencies in meal service or in offering needed feeding assistance, indicating the need to verify individual meal-assistance plans and menu communication processes.

Activities and community life: Activity programming is a clear strength. Residents have access to varied daily offerings (arts and crafts, music, games framed as physical exercise, outdoor activities, entertainers) and opportunities to participate in household tasks such as cooking. The small size of the community is consistently cited as enabling closer social connections and more visible engagement in events and seasonal celebrations.

Facilities and cleanliness: Many comments describe the building as new or recently updated, clean, and well cared for. Parallel to that, some reviews raise sanitation and incontinence-care concerns in specific areas and mention occasional odor concerns. Those comments indicate unevenness in environmental-service standards across the facility rather than a uniform condition.

Management and patterns: Administration is described favorably in several accounts — helpful during tours, responsive to questions, and active in community events. Yet reviewers also point to operational weaknesses tied to turnover and staffing shortages, which appear to influence responsiveness, personal-care consistency, and environmental maintenance. There are also serious concerns about valuables security, which have been framed as missing items in family feedback and merit direct inquiry.

Bottom line and recommendations: The facility shows many programmatic strengths — strong activity programming, pleasant facilities, on-site clinical presence, and many positive staff interactions — that make it a good fit for families seeking an engaged, small-community environment. At the same time, prospective residents and families should confirm current staffing ratios and turnover trends, ask about alarm-response protocols and sanitation/incontinence-care procedures, review meal-assistance and menu-communication practices, and clarify the facility’s policies and controls for resident valuables. Observing a daytime and evening shift during a tour and discussing specific care plans with management will help determine whether the community’s operational consistency meets individual needs.

    About Frontida of Kimberly

Frontida Assisted Living of Kimberly sits in a welcoming spot where seniors can get support with daily life in a simple, caring place that doesn't feel overwhelming or busy and with programs that have their own special names to help give each part of the day some shape and meaning, though the spaces themselves are plain and designed mostly for comfort with things like Wi-Fi, accessible transportation, full bathrooms in every suite, and choices for fully-furnished, semi-furnished, or unfurnished rooms, so folks can set up their spot the way they like, and with forty private suites-some that fit two people if a couple wants to be together-everyone gets their own bit of privacy while still being looked after. Here, care goes different ways depending on what each person needs, so some get help with bathing or remembering to take medicine, while others might get meal support or housekeeping, all with caregivers trained in both everyday help and more advanced things like memory care or help for people who can't walk or have diabetes and need close watching-though the focus isn't only on the care, because the staff puts on plenty of daily activities, with exercise, baking, spa days, and special programs run by their activity team, all to make sure there's always something to look forward to, and the same goes for people who need their mind cared for with memory support for Alzheimer's or other dementia, keeping things structured and safe and preventing wandering, so everyone stays at ease. Folks with behavioral health needs get services built to honor their dignity and understand what makes them comfortable, and there's even home care when someone'd rather stay at their own house with non-medical help for little things like companionship. Independent seniors who don't need day-to-day help can pick independent living that supports them but doesn't press in, and the meals are made by pro chefs, aiming for nutrition that doesn't taste bland. The building's kept secure, with a team trained in keeping everyone safe and cared for, so even if some people need lots of help, and others hardly any, nobody gets overlooked. The whole goal circles back to making residents feel welcomed and treated with respect, with the sense they belong, and while nothing's perfect, the 4.5 rating from a handful of reviews seems to say it's a decent place to land. New communities are planned not far away in Riverwood and Kaukauna, for those looking ahead, with the hope to offer the same kind of balance between active living and real support as needed.
