    Compassionate attentive individualized dementia care

I'm very pleased overall with the memory-care focus here - compassionate, patient staff who know residents personally and provide individualized dementia care. My mother is safe and well cared for in a clean, home-like building with roomy rooms, regular updates from Terri, and staff like Jenna who go above and beyond to help families. I highly recommend this warm, attentive place for dementia/Alzheimer's care.

    Summary of reviews

Frontida of Kimberly presents as a small, memory-care–focused home with many families emphasizing compassionate, attentive caregiving. The facility is repeatedly described as having caregivers who know residents’ personalities, pick up on subtle cues related to dementia, and provide individualized, hands-on support. Reviewers frequently cite smooth transitions into the community and note staff involvement in building rapport with residents, which supports engagement and a sense of safety for many families.

Staff and care practices are the most commonly praised aspects. Multiple accounts highlight respectful, loving interactions and a willingness among staff to assist families with visitation and coordination. Communication from management and direct-care staff also receives positive mention — examples include weekly updates and identified staff members who assisted families through the placement process. However, there is at least one strongly negative account that raises concerns about safety and staff conduct; taken with the broader set of comments, this suggests occasional variability in staff performance and responsiveness that families should probe during a tour and interview process.

Dining and activities are adequate for a small community. Several families describe balanced, healthy meals and an active calendar that includes regular social programming, happy hours, and holiday celebrations. At the same time, some reviewers characterize meals and activities as average, and the facility’s small size appears to limit the breadth of on-site amenities and opportunities for external outings. Prospective residents who prioritize a wide variety of therapeutic programming or robust off-site activities may find the community’s scope constrained compared with larger memory-care campuses.

Facilities and management are commonly described in favorable terms: clean, roomy rooms in a well-maintained building, and a memory-care focus that families recommend for Alzheimer’s/dementia needs. The leadership’s handling of infection-control events and communication during COVID-19 is noted positively. Overall, Frontida of Kimberly appears well suited to families seeking a smaller, home-like memory-care setting with engaged staff and regular family communication. Interested families should verify consistency of staffing, inquire about specifics of the activity calendar and dining options, and ask about examples of how the community addresses any staff-performance concerns to ensure the fit meets their expectations.

About Frontida of Kimberly: Specialized Memory Care

Frontida of Kimberly: Specialized Memory Care offers support for people with dementia or memory impairments in a safe, comfortable building with 40 private suites, some made for double occupancy, and you can choose a fully-furnished, semi-furnished, or unfurnished room for whatever fits best, and each suite has a fully accessible bathroom, so families don't need to worry about loved ones getting around. The community keeps residents busy with daily exercises, movie nights, baking classes, spa days, and has an arts room, gardens, and walking paths for fresh air, while the activity team and resident-run activities add even more chances to stay engaged. Staff always keep an eye on residents, as this is a supervised and secured community, and all caregivers have training in dementia support, with a registered nurse named Jessica who's described as responsive and compassionate, and Alana serves as the administrator, making sure things run smoothly.

Residents get help with daily routines, like bathing, dressing, transfers, and medication management, and if anyone needs more medical care, there's a community nurse and access to nearby physicians, including Valley Periodontics, which is good to know. The dining room serves all-day restaurant-style meals to fit special diets, including allergy-sensitive and diabetes-friendly options, and the staff handle meal prep, housekeeping, and laundry, so residents and families don't have to worry about chores. Room amenities include phones and furnishings, and the community has emergency alert systems in place alongside 24-hour supervision and call systems for safety.

Family involvement is encouraged, with staff who are kind, patient, and knowledgeable, communicating often with families and treating residents with respect, and you can see this warmth described by people calling the building lovely with wonderful staff. The community scores 4.5 with Seniorly's rating and 4.3 stars from families and residents, which shows folks tend to feel cared for there, and the administrative team works hard to keep everything running well. The facility has a barber and salon, organizes move-in coordination, and pays attention to the little things that help people with memory challenges feel at home, like familiar activities and community-sponsored events. It's purpose-built for memory care, supporting people through changes and helping them hold on to daily routines, offering a simple, warm, and attentive setting without making a big fuss about being fancy-just focused on care, comfort, and kindness.
