The Arbor Rose II

The Arbor Rose II has two homes in Tacoma, both offering that old-fashioned house feeling with big patios and more space than you'll find in many other places, and when it's summer there are sixty roses to see out front, which makes sitting outside a real pleasure, and you'll find a staff that's been around for many years, so folks get care from people who know what they're doing and who've been trained by someone who also teaches other folks how to care for people with dementia and mental health concerns, since the owner, Tammy Stimach, runs the homes and the staff learns from her experience. The homes cover many levels of care including assisted living, memory care, diabetic care, incontinence care, mental health services, respite care for short stays, and even hospice care, with staff awake all night if anyone needs help, and nurses and doctors able to come by for assessments or regular medical visits as needed. They work with outside agencies for therapy, handle medications, keep up with housekeeping and laundry, and give support with daily personal tasks like bathing, all while letting people stay right where they are, even as their needs change, because the homes aim for folks to age in place without bouncing from one facility to another, and every resident has a care plan adjusted to fit medical needs and everyday comfort, with extra touches like in-home salon visits or podiatrist checkups. The homes take both private pay and Medicaid, the monthly rates are lower than most in the area, and residents live close to doctors, hospitals, pharmacies, restaurants, parks, and places of worship, so family has an easy time visiting or running errands nearby, and the routine stays familiar and easy, in a place where the idea is to make life safe, personal, and peaceful for elders and their families.
