    Clean caring staff excellent therapy

I placed my mom here after a fall and I'm very glad we did. The facility is spotless with no odors, staff are welcoming, caring and professional - David (assistant administrator), Jordin (CNA), OT Anna D and PTs MJ, Anabell and Michael stood out. Admission and transition were smooth, therapy (PT/OT/speech), doctors and therapy updates via Facetime were excellent, and there are lots of activities (crafts, Bingo, religious and holiday events). Russian-speaking support, strong pain/hospice care, and a family-like approach gave us real peace of mind - I highly recommend.

    Summary of reviews

Reviewers describe a facility with clear strengths in rehabilitative services and family communication but with notable variability in day-to-day nursing and operational performance. Rehabilitation (PT/OT/speech) is frequently praised: therapists and therapy teams are described as skilled, attentive, and effective at communicating progress to families. Several accounts highlight positive short-stay rehab outcomes and repeat admissions for therapy, indicating that the facility can deliver strong post-acute care. Families also appreciate language support (notably Russian-speaking staff), access to physicians for consultations, and use of remote video tools for family communication.

Staff performance and responsiveness emerge as a primary point of divergence. Many reviewers single out individual staff members (therapists, CNAs, assistants, and an assistant administrator) as caring and professional, contributing to a family-like atmosphere. Concurrently, others report inconsistent professionalism, delayed responses to call systems, and variability in nurse and aide conduct. These descriptions point to uneven staff training and staffing reliability rather than uniformly poor or uniformly excellent performance. Management communication also appears mixed: some families note immediate resolution of issues and helpful administrators, while others describe defensive interactions and concerns about an administrative focus on billing and insurance processes.

Facility environment and amenities receive mixed marks. Common areas are often described as clean and well maintained, with pleasant features such as ocean views. Resident rooms vary: some are adequate and spotless, while others have maintenance issues (sticking tray tables, older TVs, drawers needing repair) and cleanliness inconsistencies. Reviewers mention outdated equipment in places. Dining impressions are split โ€” a number of families praise the variety of food and general meal service, but others criticize food quality and poor meal experience. Activity programming is consistently a strength: organized crafts, Bingo, religious services, and seasonal celebrations are cited as meaningful engagement for residents.

Operational concerns that recur across accounts include discharge coordination and transport arrangements, billing and financial-process frustrations, and gaps in bathroom assistance or incontinence-related care. These reflect systemic process weaknesses (discharge planning, transport coordination, and certain aspects of personal-care delivery) rather than isolated social interactions. Infection-control measures affected visitation during COVID periods; families used remote options to maintain contact when access was limited.

Overall, the facility appears well suited for patients seeking intensive rehabilitative care with robust therapy teams and active programming. Prospective residents and families should weigh that strength against variability in nursing responsiveness, room-level maintenance and cleanliness, and administrative practices around billing and discharge. Visiting the unit, observing shift changes, asking about staffing patterns and discharge procedures, and confirming language support and therapy plans can help families determine whether the facility's operational profile matches their expectations and needs.

Staff focus on building close relationships with each person, so residents get help with emotional and spiritual needs as well as physical care, and they guide families through the process of choosing what kind of care fits best, offering consultations with their senior living advisors to answer questions and explain options. The home has a published rating of 3.0 stars based on 4 reviews, with care reviewed by visitors or genuine customers, and services are offered Monday through Friday from early morning to evening, plus weekend hours, so there's ongoing support for residents and families, and those interested can get basic info, check availability, or schedule a tour by phone or on their website.

The Haym Salomon Adult Day Care Center in Brooklyn offers meals, recreation, counseling, transportation, medical management, and chances to socialize, so seniors who don't need full-time care have a place during the day, and this program is just one part of their broader range of services. The team there helps people recover after surgery or injury with therapies by skilled professionals, and they offer specialized care for different health needs, including wound care, spinal injuries, pain, kidney problems, diabetes, cancer, neurological diseases like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, arthritis, and rehabilitation after a stroke or brain injury, giving each person a personalized treatment plan that fits their needs. They also offer post-operative care, subacute nursing, respiratory support, and pain management, and have on-site physician services to oversee medical aspects, plus a beauty parlor, barber services, group activities with a therapeutic recreation calendar, and support for mental health and social needs through their social workers and psychologists.

Admission staff help families and residents understand what's needed for medical or rehab care, and there's a Medicaid coordinator who supports people through the Medicaid process so everyone understands their options, and the financial services team works with families to verify coverage and manage insurance paperwork, accepting Medicare, Medicaid, Medicaid HMOs and MLTCs, and private payments. Staff treat everyone with dignity, no matter their background or religion, and there's a genuine effort to offer companionship, enjoyable activities, and holistic care including palliative support when needed, all in a setting that aims to feel like a real community for those who call it home. Site tours let families see the facility in person before making decisions, and pricing isn't published but is available on request.
