    Warm, caring community with amenities

I moved my mother in and we've been very pleased. Staff and management are warm, caring, responsive, and welcoming - the administrator and team go above and beyond. Apartments are spacious with great layouts, large bathrooms, in-unit kitchens and patios; single-story, accessible grounds are peaceful and close to shops. Good meals, transportation, varied activities, timely maintenance, and a well-kept, safe community make this an affordable, comfortable place to live.

    Summary of reviews

Elliott Place Senior Living presents as a well-kept, single-level independent-living community with strengths in on-site amenities, resident engagement, and personalized front-line staff. Reviewers commonly describe staff as friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to go beyond basic expectations; leadership and managers receive frequent praise for responsiveness and a welcoming, family-style approach. The property emphasizes a residential atmosphere: spacious one- and two-bedroom floor plans, full kitchens, large bathrooms and closets, private patios, accessible design features, and a variety of common spaces such as a dining room, sunroom, library, beauty shop, and fitness area. Grounds and landscaping are frequently described as peaceful and well maintained, with walking trails and outdoor seating that contribute to a calm, nature-adjacent setting.

Dining and activities are central to community life but have limits that prospective residents should understand. The community typically provides a robust midday meal—sometimes described as a multi-course lunch—and many reviewers praised meal quality and communal dining. However, meal service is usually limited to lunch, with dinner often the resident’s responsibility; this single-meal model may not suit residents seeking full-board dining. Activity programming is active and varied (exercise groups, card games, outings, music, puzzles), and an engaged activities director is often highlighted. At the same time, activity intensity and structure appear to vary across the population, so residents with higher expectations for daily programming should verify current schedules.

Clinical care and resident acuity are important differentiators for this facility. Elliott Place operates primarily as independent living with light assistance rather than a full-service nursing or memory-care provider. Reviewers note limited on-site clinical staffing and that the community does not consistently accommodate higher-acuity or specialized memory-care needs. The emergency-call system is in place, but its design (automatic external responder notifications and potential associated charges) and the placement of call buttons have generated concerns; families should confirm emergency procedures, response timelines, and financial implications. There are also mixed observations about facility upkeep: while many report clean, well-maintained buildings and prompt maintenance, others describe older or worn areas such as parking pavement and select units. Covered parking is limited, which may matter for residents who need sheltered vehicle access.

Taken together, Elliott Place is generally well suited to low‑to‑moderate‑need seniors seeking a small, community-oriented independent living setting with active social programming, convenient transportation, and a strong staff culture. It may be less appropriate for individuals who require around-the-clock clinical care, comprehensive memory-care services, or full-board dining. Prospective residents and families should confirm current meal plans, emergency-response protocols and fees, the community’s ability to support evolving care needs, parking options, and specific unit maintenance status during a focused tour and in writing before admission.

    About Elliott Place Senior Living

Elliott Place Senior Living is a one-story community for adults aged 55 and older, and it offers independent living, assisted living, and memory care on a single campus, with ground-level apartments that have private patios, some with decks or garden areas, so folks don't have to worry about stairs when getting around; you'll also find one-bedroom and two-bedroom options with full kitchens, lots of storage, and cozy living rooms with big windows and outdoor views, plus there are den spaces and plenty of comfortable seating if you want to stretch out and relax. Residents can bring pets because it's pet-friendly, and there's lawn and garden space to enjoy fresh air, with a porch set up with wicker chairs and a swing for taking in the day, and the community keeps things tidy with housekeeping and maintenance staff on a regular schedule to clean and care for apartments. There's a library for quiet reading, a lounge for games and socializing, and a full calendar of life enrichment activities that cover everything from social events and exercise to arts, card games, and outings, and the activities director keeps things lively whether you're looking to stay physically active or want something for the mind. The beauty shop (or on-site salon) is handy for those who like to keep up grooming without leaving the building, and if you need rides to medical appointments, shopping, or group outings, transportation services are available during the week and on Saturday up until midafternoon.

The apartments feel homey and have full kitchens with appliances and plenty of cabinet room, and there's a community dining area, often with chef-prepared, home-cooked meals made using fresh fruits and vegetables, and snacks too. Personal care services like medication reminders, help with showers, and companionship are available, though these often come from an outside service, so if you need more support, there's a way to get it, and the community encourages residents to speak openly about what they need or want, making it easier to feel connected and heard.

Elliott Place also helps adults with memory loss through memory care services, and if health needs change, skilled nursing and continuing care services are available without a move to another facility, so you can stay in a familiar place. Those who prefer to stay active in mind and body can join wellness programs and planned exercise, and social ties are easy to make with group activities or just chatting with neighbors on the porch or in the community room. Tours are scheduled for new folks to come by, see the apartments and amenities, meet the staff and other residents, and get a feel for the place, and the community focus is on promoting friendships, independence, and involvement, letting people age gracefully and enjoy the peace of mind that comes with having a range of care options.
