    Warm staff, secure compassionate community

I toured and moved my mother here and I'm very pleased - the staff are warm, professional and attentive (Joy Wiley and Cathy Brown were especially helpful), responsive in communication, and clearly long-tenured. The building is clean and well-maintained with nice rooms, a pleasant courtyard, good meals, and lots of activities and outings that keep residents engaged. Memory care felt secure and compassionate, my mom is happy and social, and I have real peace of mind. I highly recommend this family-like community.

    Summary of reviews

The overall impression of this community is mixed but leans positive on day‑to‑day resident life: many families highlight compassionate, long‑tenured caregiving staff, an accessible administrative team, a renovated, clean environment and a robust activity program that includes live music, outings and regular social events. Reviewers frequently praised individual staff members and described the community as home‑like, with a pleasant courtyard, flexible dining times, and on‑site rehabilitation. Infection‑control during the COVID period and the responsiveness of community‑relations staff were cited as strengths.

Care quality and staffing present a more complex picture. Numerous reviews indicate attentive, 24‑hour staff and reliable medication management for many residents; however, recurring comments point to inconsistent staff training and turnover that sometimes produce variability in clinical competence and daily care. Specific clinical issues cited include delayed recognition or management of acute conditions and skin integrity concerns; these items suggest prospective families should ask about clinical oversight, staff training programs, and staffing ratios for the level of care needed.

Dining and activities are frequently identified as positives: many residents enjoy home‑style meals, social dining and a varied activity calendar led by an engaged activities director. At the same time, there are recurring notes about inconsistent meal preparation, occasional menu items being unavailable, and equipment or staffing gaps during activities (for example, games or events missing a caller or supplies). Prospective residents should sample meals and review current activity calendars during a visit.

Facility condition is generally described as updated and well kept, with comfortable rooms and communal spaces. Counterbalancing those praises are recurring housekeeping and maintenance inconsistencies—examples include carpeting, stairwell cleaning and bathroom floor attention—which indicate variability in routine environmental upkeep. Several reviews also raise concerns about environmental safety controls (for example, window and alarm safeguards in secured units). One review included a serious allegation following a resident's death and criticized incident reporting; while that represents an individual, high‑severity claim, it underscores the importance of reviewing safety measures and incident‑reporting protocols in person.

Management and communication earn both strong and negative comments. Many families describe accessible, proactive staff and administrators who provide clear guidance and personalized attention. Conversely, other reviewers describe variability in management responsiveness, delays in refund or billing resolution, and perceptions that some family concerns went unaddressed. Financial transparency is another area to confirm: tiered care fees and extra charges for higher levels of care were mentioned as a source of dissatisfaction by some families.

Bottom line: the community shows clear strengths in staff compassion, social programming, a maintained physical environment and infection‑control practices. At the same time, patterns of inconsistent staffing/training, occasional housekeeping and dining variability, gaps in clinical surveillance, and concerns about environmental safety controls and communication protocols were raised enough to warrant careful inquiry. Prospective residents and families should tour the property, review staffing levels and training records, inspect safety features in memory care units, sample meals, and ask for written incident‑response and billing policies before making a placement decision.
