    Resident loves friendly clean community

I live here and couldn't be happier - the staff are exceptionally friendly, attentive and responsive, the building and apartments are clean and beautifully laid out with full kitchens and courtyard access, and there's a wide variety of engaging activities and outings that keep the community social and safe. Management and maintenance are helpful and welcoming, and the dining and amenities offer plenty of good options.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression: The Manor presents as a well-maintained, attractive senior living community with numerous strengths, particularly in staff engagement, the activity program, and apartment quality. Many reviewers praise friendly, attentive personnel — including dining-room staff, activity and events staff, and maintenance teams — and single out several named employees for exceptional service. Apartments are described as spacious and well-laid out (notably with high ceilings and full-sized kitchens), and the grounds and courtyard spaces are seen as private and quiet. Several accounts highlight a lively, social resident community and accessible units that meet ADA needs.

Care and staff: Staff interactions are the facility's strongest theme. Reviewers commonly describe staff as helpful, hands-on, and knowledgeable; maintenance response and short-term problem solving receive positive mention. At the same time, there are recurring concerns about care consistency for residents with greater assistance needs and about occasional lapses in staff listening or responsiveness. Those differences suggest the community generally fits independent and active seniors well, while families seeking a higher level of assisted-care consistency should probe staffing patterns and clinical protocols during a tour.

Dining: Reports on dining quality are mixed. Some reviewers note a varied selection and satisfactory meals, while others characterize the cafeteria food as poor enough that residents rely on their in‑unit kitchens. This indicates variability in meal quality or expectations; prospective residents who prioritize facility dining should sample meals and ask about menu rotation, dietary accommodations, and dining-staff training.

Activities and amenities: The activity program receives substantial praise, with an active director and a broad range of events and outings. However, reviewers also describe a noticeable reduction in on-site activities since the pandemic and specific amenity closures (cards room, exercise room, pool not available). These factors have affected residents’ experience of communal life for some. Prospective residents should confirm current activity schedules and the status of amenities, as offerings may have changed over time.

Facilities and management: The physical plant is often described as clean, attractive, and well maintained, with renovations and new carpeting noted. Yet a few comments raise cleanliness concerns in certain common areas and identify that the community’s large footprint can be hard to navigate for some residents. Management is generally viewed as responsive and open, but there are also reports of inconsistent follow-through on promises and communication gaps. Those patterns point to a need for clear, documented expectations during move-in and ongoing conversations about commitments and service timelines.

Notable patterns and considerations: Cost and value are recurring themes—several reviewers describe the pricing as high relative to available amenities, and there are mentions of resident move-outs tied to satisfaction with services or costs. Transportation options are limited, and the community is often characterized as best suited for independent seniors who want an active social environment and good maintenance support. Families should evaluate level-of-care capabilities, verify current amenity and activity availability post-pandemic, sample dining, and clarify management responsiveness and documented service commitments before deciding.
