    Beautiful friendly community with activities

I live here and really appreciate the beautiful, well-maintained campus with gorgeous views and a wonderful location. Staff and residents are friendly and there's a strong sense of community supported by an excellent activity director and regular social events. The apartments are affordable for what's offered, with handy on-site services (mail, salon, exercise room, nurse visits) and assigned parking. I'm very satisfied and would recommend this as a great senior housing option.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression: The Trinity Community at Fairwood elicits a mixed but clearly polarized set of impressions. Many residents and family members emphasize the community strengths — an affordable price point, attractive grounds and exterior views, assigned parking, and a generally friendly resident population. Common-area spaces are often described as clean, well lit, and pleasant, and there are accessible on-site services such as mail, religious programming, and a salon/barber that support everyday living.

Care and staff: Staff interactions are frequently characterized as warm and personable. There are references to helpful nurses performing basic wellness checks (for example, blood-pressure monitoring) and an activity director described positively. At the same time, there are persistent concerns about how leadership responds to emergent issues; multiple accounts describe delays or unsatisfactory communication when problems arise, leading to questions about overall responsiveness to resident needs and safety concerns.

Activities and social life: The property hosts an array of social events — card games, tournaments, potlucks, and birthday celebrations are cited — and some reviewers praised an active social calendar and a strong sense of community. However, other comments indicate the activity schedule can be limited or inconsistent, suggesting variability between what is planned and what is delivered. Prospective residents should verify current activity offerings and frequency during a tour.

Facilities and maintenance: The building dates to the late 1980s and reviewers note aging appliances, carpeting, and plumbing/hard-water issues consistent with older construction. Common areas are generally maintained, but there are recurring operational concerns related to pest control and general upkeep. These infrastructure and maintenance issues appear to impact some residents’ satisfaction with unit conditions and building services.

Safety and operational concerns: Reviewers mention safety and utility oversight gaps, including examples of improvised external power use and unauthorized use of shared utilities. There are also documented pest-control concerns affecting units and shared spaces, and questions about how quickly these matters are contained and remediated. Additionally, there are instances of contested communications around lease enforcement and rent increases; some comments describe aggressive or unclear management communication styles. There are isolated, serious allegations of coercive lease enforcement and threatening communication that prospective residents may wish to clarify with management.

Management and transparency: Several reviews raise concerns about management turnover, rent increases, and perceived declines in service quality and responsiveness. Specific operational issues include slow response to health- and safety-related matters and limited avenue for escalation to an owner or corporate contact. Prospective residents and families should request written policies on pest control, maintenance response times, rent-increase history, lease terms, and contact information for escalation when touring the property.

Bottom line and recommendations: The Trinity Community at Fairwood offers an affordable, community-oriented living environment with many social amenities and friendly staff. However, there are consistent operational weaknesses related to pest-control, aging infrastructure, management communication, and safety oversight that some households find consequential. Before making a decision, arrange an in-person visit at different times of day, review the activity calendar and maintenance response procedures, ask about recent pest-control and capital-improvement work, and obtain written clarification on lease terms and escalation contacts.
